Why I Left the Retail Bank and Became an Independent Broker
A short note on why Resource Home Loan is a brokerage and not a bank, and why the difference matters for the person actually signing the loan documents.
I spent years inside a large retail bank. The pricing was fine. The programs were fine. But every file had to fit one company's overlays, and every borrower who did not fit had to hear the word no.
As an independent broker, I compare rates and programs across more than 40 wholesale lenders on every file. If one lender's guidelines are wrong for you, another lender's guidelines usually work, and both quotes take about the same amount of time to run.
That is the entire pitch. Same rates or better, more programs, and if the first answer is no, there is almost always a second door.
Have a scenario you want to run through?
Every file is different. If any of this sparked a question about your own situation, send it over.
